A HALF ISN'T TOO MUCH BEEF!!!

A half steer is $3.25 per pound hanging weight, which is about 280 pounds.
This is an economical way to purchase beef in bulk
and is designed for those who might have a big freezer to put the beef into.
Additionally it gives you, the customer, an option
of serving the selections and portions as you want.
Quantities and weights are approximate.
Beef must be pre-ordered with a small deposit.

If you compare the cost of premium ground beef, steaks and roast,
the saving is over $200 for the half!
And this gives you the option of package size, steak thickness,
with or without a bone, fresh or frozen,
and you may even substitute some cuts!
The quantities listed are based upon 1.5" thick steaks.
Columbine Manor typically uses a heavy-duty shrink wrap,
is USDA inspected and pre-frozen to ensure quality.
So you are hesitant to order or buy a side of beef?
Here's some facts that may help put you at ease.

There are two of us. We do a roast about every other week. Adding potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onion, tomatoes and beef stock. You can use some of the roast for pulled beef sandwiches, then serve the rest as a meal.  In the cold winter months, a roast can be used to make beef noodle soup, vegetable soup or some other warming, delicious meal. The great thing about these roasts is that the more you reheat them, the more flavorable they become.

STILL THINK THE BEEF IS (TOO) EXPENSIVE???
Surprisingly the price per pound is less than you can expect to pay for top quality meat from supermarkets. When you consider that the lean beef is lower in calories and fat, this is a great deal!

QUALITY
Texas Longhorn beef from Columbine Manor is the best lean beef money can buy. The animals are humanely raised, local, grass fed and free of hormones, antibiotics and steroids.

CONVENIENCE
Which is easier, running to the store for food for every meal or opening your freezer and choosing a frozen selection the day before? And the lean beef offered by Columbine Manor is professionally prepared and shrink-wrapped. The steaks are cut to @ 1.5" thickness. Certainly shrink wrapping costs more than paper, but the beef will stay pristine, knowing that your valuable purchase will be well preserved until you prepare it for your family.

PEACE OF MIND
With all the recalls and questionable food products today, knowing where your food originated, how it was treated and the processing method ensures that you know what you are preparing for your family to enjoy.
