Monthly Special January & February

For these months we are pleased to continue the lean Texas Longhorn ground beef special. For just $3.25 per pound, a savings of $.65 per pound, you can get some lean ground beef.The beef is packed in 2 pound packs, shrink wrapped in heavy duty wrapping, and USDA inspected.
All are subject to availability and there is a limit of 4 packs per customer.

Following are a couple of recipes. 
The amount will ensure leftovers that only get better each time it is served.

soup
Mini Meatball & Veggie Soup (Cut the ingredients in half if you want)
1 - pack (2 pounds) of lean Texas Longhorn Beef
1 can undrained Italian diced tomatoes
1 - package of beef broth
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
6 cups of vegetables frozen or fresh
1/4 teaspoon - basil
1/4 teaspoon - oregano
Sea salt & pepper (& other seasonings) to taste

Combine tomatoes & broth, bring to a boil. simmer for 10 minutes
Mix beef, breadcrumbs, oregano & basil thoroughly together.
Makes @ 50 small meatballs
Add veggies and meatballs to broth, boil, then reduce to a simmer
Simmer @ 15 minuets, stirring occasionally.
Season to taste.



wildBeef, Rice & Mushroom (can be cut in half)
1 - pack (2 pounds) of lean Texas Longhorn Beef
16 ounces fresh mushrooms, Shitake, oyster, button, etc. Sliced
1 Box wild rice mix with seasoning
1 can diced tomatoes
2 cups Beef broth
1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
Season to taste (sea salt, pepper, jalopenas)

Brown ground Texas Longhorn beef and mushrooms
Add tomatoes & rice
Add beef broth (substituted for water) and butter per the rice recipe
Cover & bake @ 375 degrees for 45 minutes
Add cheese and bake uncovered for 5 minutes
