In 1996, a survey of Longhorn breeders and owners offered the following 11 bulls as the best ever Longhorn sires (Texas Longhorn Journal—Herd Sire Issue, January 1996).  These bulls were deemed to have contributed the best genetic traits to the breed. We are proud to have Ain’t Gunna as our herd sire. Ain't Gunna is the son of Not Gunna and grandson of Gunner. Ain't Gunna has the genes to produce heavy, great offspring.  Interestingly Ain't Gunna's heritage can be traced back to 8 of the best-ever Longhorn sires listed above. Poppa, as we fondly call him, will have Columbine Manor as his home for as long as he lives. His gentle disposition and ability to produce feminine heifers, heavy steers and great bulls is a direct result of his bloodline, careful breeding and tremendous genetics.

Fidalgo Gunna is Ain't Gunna's son and shares in those great genetics.  We pray that both Ain’t Gunna and Fidalgo Gunna will continue breeding greatness for years to come.
We were blessed to acquire a very gentle bull that is not related to our girls. Though we can't use him until he is two years old, we have a halter on him and will add his photo soon. His name is Sharp Shooter and we pray that he will be with us for many years!
In 2011, we had an opportunity to add Duty Struck to our line of bulls.
We had named him Bubba, because of his large horns and size.
His body is longer too and we hope he produces some great calves for us.
Poppa is 16 this year and the average age of Longhorn bulls is 15. While we hope he is with us a while longer, I have noticed that he is showing signs of his age.
