We sold out at the end of last year and though we processed less than we have this year,
we are expecting to be out of beef by the end of 2012.
Check back often for unannounced specials and new products.

More calves has arrived!

Gem gave us a bull calf on March 2, 2012.
His name is Chisom and his sire is Fidalgo.
A great looking bull calf!

Sena Rose had a heiffer calf on March 30, 2012
She is unnamed but her sire was Aint Gunna (Poppa)
I guess he was still potent even as he declined.

April gave us a lovely heifer on Monday, 4/17/12
Her sire is Sharpshooter.
heif2She has the traditonal  lineback markings.
We had Kurt and Kristi visit to see the new calf.
Kristi has a special interest in both Sharpshooter and April.
She loves to give them both treats and has taken countless photos of them.

Kahia blessed us with a really pretty heifer this morning, Tuesday, 4/24/12.
The sire is Fidalgo (who was Aint Gunna's son).
As is the case with Longhorns, you never know what might come next,
but she is really a pretty heifer and has some great potential
to be a great mother in a couple of years.
We bought Kahia as a calf and still have her mother with us.
She is Gem from the Hoenstines and was named Pretty Lady.
Gem has alway had the first calf of each year and loves to birth early.
Hopefully this calf will inherit Kahia and Fidalgo's gentle traits and be a big girl too!

We seem to be having some really colorful calves this year.
Now if we could just have some more bull calves, life would be even better!

Branding has been scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2012.
This is a rain or shine event so dress appropriately.
Some type of RSVP is needed to ensure that we have enough food.
We won't have any calves to brand since I doubt any will have been weaned, but we will still have
some tasty Longhorn beef to eat, beverages and even greater friends.
Come early, stay late and have a great time!

We may have a suprise guest this year, so make plans to visit.
